This is a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials in people, not an animal study. The authors searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, Scopus and ClinicalTrials.gov and pooled the trials with a random-effects model. Blood pressure and blood lipid levels were the measurements compared across the pooled trials. The abstract does not state how many trials or participants were included, or how long treatment lasted.
