GLP-3 R, a Triple Hormone Receptor Agonist, for Treatment of Obesity.

The trial enrolled 2339 adults with obesity who did not have diabetes and assigned them at random to one of four groups, three receiving GLP-3 R and one receiving a placebo, with neither participants nor investigators told which was which. Treatment ran for 80 weeks. Body weight was measured as a percent change from the start. In a subgroup of 574 participants who also had knee osteoarthritis, pain was scored on a 1-to-10 scale. In 243 participants with obstructive sleep apnea, the researchers counted apnea-hypopnea events per hour.
